Painting Studio - Systems Application

Translating technical construction knowledge into both digital and physical form, this building systems study documents a private painting studio through Revit and Adobe Illustrator drawings alongside a precision laser-cut sectional model. The construction documents (drawn at 1/4"=1'-0" scale) detail foundation systems, steel beam framing, solar panel integration, truss assemblies, and multi-layered wall construction with full material specifications. The basswood sectional model (cut at 3/8"=1'-0" scale) brings those documents into tactile reality, revealing foundation piers, wood-framed walls, exposed trusses, and the spatial relationships between ground conditions, interior volume, and interstitial space. Together, the drawings and model bridge digital precision with physical architectural representation.
